6-WEEK WORKSHOP
The Architects’ Masterplan
PROFIT
Architecture practices are filled with talented people delivering complex and meaningful projects.
Yet many firms quietly struggle to translate that work into strong, sustainable profitability.
Projects grow in scope.
Revisions multiply.
Fees remain static.
At the end of the year, the financial reward rarely reflects the effort involved.
This isn’t a design problem.
It’s a business design problem.
Most architects were never taught how to structure pricing, operations, and client conversations in ways that protect the true value of their work.
The result is something we call the Profit Gap.
The gap between the profit your practice should generate and the profit that actually reaches your account once projects are delivered.
Closing that gap is the purpose of this workshop.
PROFIT NEEDS TO BE DESIGNED
Most firms try to improve profitability by:
• increasing fees slightly
• winning more work
• hiring more staff
• working harder
But these approaches rarely solve the underlying problem.
Profit is not simply an outcome.
Profit can, and should be intentionally designed through elements like pricing, operations, and leadership decision-making.
The Architects’ Masterplan: PROFIT programme focuses on identifying those leverage points and helping you redesign them.
WHAT YOU WILL LEAVE WITH
Over six weeks, we will explore the key leverage points that will shape your architecture practice’s profitability.
You will leave with:
• stronger pricing structures for proposals
• a clear understanding of your Profit Gap
• greater confidence communicating value to clients
• tools to protect scope and avoid silent profit erosion
• a practical plan to improve margins over the next 12 months
Participants often begin seeing changes within weeks.
Not by changing the work they do but by changing how the practice is structured around that work.
What you'll do
Over six weeks we examine the key drivers of profitability inside your architecture practice.
Week 1
Master your Time: identifying inefficiencies and opportunities for delegation and systemisation.
Week 2
Master your Money: reviewing spending, removing unnecessary costs, and strengthening financial decisions.
Week 3
Master AI and Automation: using technology to reduce repetitive work and streamline workflows.
Week 4
Master your Pricing: exploring pricing models and how architects communicate financial value.
Week 5
Master your Sales: improving proposal structure and client conversations.
Week 6
Master your Credibility: strengthening positioning so clients understand why your practice is worth investing in.
